Welcome to Avalon Uniting Church

We are situated right in the heart of Avalon Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We are a small church with a big vision, to grow an authentic community that is loving and creative and caring.

We just love Jesus and want to shine like him, and even though we are broken and weak, he is strong, believing that he has amazing things planned for Avalon, Sydney and the whole world. The world needs Jesus. The world needs church.

The church is meant to be a body, a living being, a family unit full of characters, introverts, creatives and conservatives, all different, but all together united. We encourage you to walk through the doors one Sunday and be welcomed. We hope and pray that you will find love, peace and joy, and any stereotypes of what you think church is might be dismissed.

Pam Tate

Pam is currently our treasurer and all things admin. Pam, along with the other members of the Committee are all involved with the overall operations of the church, and if you come along when Pam is on Morning Tea you will be able to enjoy her homemade sausage rolls.

Phillip Comans

Phillip is Chairperson of the committee here at Avalon Uniting. He is warm and engaging. He has been a long-standing member, and the backbone of the church, preaching and service leading regularly. He is involved with the operations at the Church.

Bill Watson

Bill is on the committee and is part of the key decision-making group of the Church along with his wife Sarn. Bill and Sarn have both been long standing members of the church. Bill is a creative, warm and effervescent personality, and his wife Sarn is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people you will meet.
