About Avalon Church
We are situated right in the heart of Avalon Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We are a small church with a big vision, to grow an authentic community that is loving and creative and caring.
We just love Jesus and want to shine like him, and even though we are broken and weak, he is strong, believing that he has amazing things planned for Avalon, Sydney and the whole world. The world needs Jesus. The world needs church.
The church is meant to be a body, a living being, a family unit full of characters, introverts, creatives and conservatives, all different, but all together united.
We encourage you to walk through the doors one Sunday and be welcomed. We hope and pray that you will find love, peace and joy, and any stereotypes of what you think church is might be dismissed.
Our Services
We have one weekly service at 9am Sunday mornings. We pride ourselves on being a humble and authentic church. We love unconditionally but we hold fast to Jesus and the scriptures. We hope and pray that people from all walks of life might encounter the Holy Spirit and be filled with the love and grace of Jesus.
Inter-church Prayer and Worship Service
Join us every 2nd Wednesday at 7pm. We spend time seeking the Lord and his favour over our community and the broader church community as we partner with "The Avalon Church-C3" in unified worship and prayer. A unified church in loving intentional prayer partnership, one body standing together.
Sunday 9am
We gather together in a humble, meditative service every Sunday at 9am. We have a short 1hr service that seeks to provide an atmosphere of hospitality and community. We really do love and care for each other and those who visit. We have tea and coffee after the service. It's a beautiful way to connect and strengthen community.
Quilting
The "Quilters" have been quilting here at the church for over 40 years and continue to do so every Thursday from 10-3pm. If you are interested in joining please email us or reach out to them via instagram. https://www.instagram.com/avalonquilters/
Pure Play
Pure Play is a community based alternative to traditional daycare. Operating more like a nanny share space. It is run by Avalon locals Thai and Olivia. Pure Play runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday on the Avalon Uniting premise. It is a wholesome, beautiful space for kids aged 1-5.
